Supernatural Marriage Restoration: Interview with Jason Carver

welcome back to another episode of Christian Natural Health today I'm excited to have Jason Carver with us Jason is a pastor and the founder of

standing supernaturally for marriage restoration Ministry he has served in various pastoral roles in the church for

over 25 years and he is also a board-certified Christian counselor Jason's personal story of marital

restoration is a prophetic picture of what God can do in anyone's life who is faithful to the promises of God he

currently coaches and teaches courses on how to supernaturally stand for marriage restoration Jason lives in Waco Texas

with his wife Christine and their daughters Abby and Sydney he also teaches tennis at Baylor University and

produces an international TV Ministry Program 40-day stand a 40-day devotional empowering you to stand supernaturally

for marriage restoration and that is his first book welcome Jason thanks for joining us thank you so much for having

me yeah absolutely so tell us first what got you into specifically marriage

restoration what's your story my story is I needed a marriage miracle and God

did it that is where we got we were I was you know on pastoral staff 20 plus

years yeah just serving Faithfully in the church and just believing that's where we were going to be and kind of

take over the the church I was a senior associate and uh that's what I've always envisioned that we were going to do but

man God has another amazing plan as he moved us into this into this unique very Niche Ministry if you will because

that's my story um it was on A Mother's Day actually that Christine my my

beautiful wife I was walking out for Sunday morning church we have a 9 o'clock early service and so I was

walking out the door to get set up at church and she stopped me before I walked out the door she said hey why

don't you give the kids a kiss before you go and tell them you love them and I'm like okay it was normal

conversation not know we normally did on a Sunday morning but I said absolutely so we WOTE the kids up gave them a kiss

since they were up I said well it's Mother's Day everyone's up I said do we want to do Mother's Day gifts now or do

it after church you know after our meal and was like well let's do Mother's Day gifts now and so we did Mother's Day

gifts and gave Christina a kiss gave the girls a kiss said all right I see y'all at church in about an hour and that was

the last time I saw my wife or children for over 30 days oh my goodness that

when I was at church she had it planned that she took the kids left her cell

phone on the counter and left with no news no idea didn't see it

coming didn't tell anyone and um that started the Journey For Me of oh my word

what just happened and um believing God would restore what was dead and what

broke even the communication was around 30 days later I had a knock on my door and it

was divorce papers and that started it and that started my

journey of can God restore something that looks pretty dead yeah that was the

journey that we went on for almost two years but that's kind of a nutshell how it started of how everything how I

jumped into this thing and had no intention of doing kind of a marriage restoration Ministry I was just wanting my marriage restored I'm serving at the

church that it was never even on my radar but that is that's my story uh

that Christine just completely out of the blue left and um oh yeah so what was it what was in your

background or what was your awareness that made you think that standing for marriage restoration at that point was

even possible it was real it I guess I'm a simple-minded

man I just knew what was happening at that very moment in this season I knew

this wasn't God yeah knew this was the effect of sin and Brokenness my sin my

Brokenness Christine's sin her Brokenness I just knew this is not the plan of the Lord for me for my my wife

for my for my children uh she you know Christine was struggling through some um and she would tell you if this was if

she was here she was struggling with some mental health issues at the time and all the stuff that was going on I'm like this is not God this is not your

plan Lord um reason this is happening isn't quite accurate there are some things of course that were there but I

was just like this is not the plan of the Lord so I really just grabbed a hold of God you came to

you came to seek what's lost and save the enemy comes to steal kill destroy

which two camps are these in for me I was like this is the enemy um so that

that was really what I kind of set my mind to I knew the power of God I knew his power to heal we had a school of

Supernatural Ministry at the church and we would train people did okay yeah we already had this going for years so I'm

so I'm already in the realm of or in the flow of we believe God can do Miracles we seen God heal we you know we see all

these amazing things right and it's like okay God well now I need this and right

I just kind of went on it and um I didn't I didn't get us we get asked all the time well how do I know I'm called

to stand as kind of the question I get a lot well how do I know and my answer like I said is pretty simple I didn't I

don't believe I ever got a like a calling to do this to stand what I just

wasn't God yeah and I just God I'm just going to grab a hold of you and I thought of the story of the woman with

the issue of blood and she touched the Hemm of Jesus's garment yeah well what's the reality she didn't get a promise she

didn't get a calling she didn't get a word she saw Jesus she believed he had

the power to heal yeah she pushed through the crowd all the opposition she chose to touch Jesus and Jesus said I

felt something leave me right I it's such it's such an interesting story is Jesus didn't even pray for but what

Jesus his power who he was his divinity just everything her faith Jesus said

that your faith made you healed I mean so I saw these stories and I'm like and

so I just grabbed it I just said God I'm grabbing hold of you and I'm just gonna believe Against All Odds you're gonna

heal this so that's kind of my story there of what why I did it yeah that's

amazing so part of why I think this is such a difficult story to wrap our minds

around even for those of us who already believe in the power of God and miracles is because it also involves somebody

else's Free Will how did you wrestle with that component of it I would well here's here's how I wrestle with that

because that that's another major major question we get and I'm gonna frame it this way yeah almost everyone who we

hear and this is that that topic of free will yeah let me let me say it this okay

the enemy has used that topic to bring absolute fear and I would say just they

freeze people up oh no oh no they have free will oh no they have free will I

have never you know in the year the couple in the few years we've done this I've never had anyone come to me and say you know what Jason since my spouse has

free will they're gonna come home since my spouse has free will they're gonna choose no one ever says it that way it's

always it's always 100% one way since they have free will my marriage is

screwed lack of a better word since they have free never coming home and so I'm like well that's interesting we only use the Free

Will discussion in hopess and so then I would say well

there's something to even think about okay what maybe is the source what maybe is a lack of a better word the voice telling you free will Free Will Free

Will is is is encourage you or is it to discourage you and just say this thing's impossible and so that's I would

probably highlight to those who because that's it's absolute it's a fair thought it's a fair question but I zoom out what

what are we believing in Free Will for we believe they go to not come home to

make it worse that it won't be I'm like wait a second that tells us our position of where we're standing but then here's

the second and I think even more theologically accurate question yes I

believe in fuel but oh my word are we saying God doesn't changeed people if that's the case if Free Will

is the thing that that people are so afraid of it and think that is the most ultimate greatest thing that then what's

the logical conclusion do we never pray about anything I mean if Free Will is it

is a if you know I'm don't want to get down this road here but if Free Will is this thing that nothing can be touched

I'm like then why are we praying of anything why are we praying for our children why are we praying for the

neighbor across the street why are we praying for missionaries in Africa I mean why are we praying if God has set

up that he never intervenes he never changes the heart because I see scripture sure softens Hearts he changes

heart and I would even take it one more step I think it's less of a free will issue that people are what's happening I

believe it's more of a second Currans 4:4 issue and here's what 2 Corinthians 4:4 says it says the God of this age has

blinded the minds of unbelievers so they can't see the gospel of the glory of

Jesus Christ so I think it's not a free will it's a blinding issue the enemy has

come and blinded our spouses our children or whatever we want whatever topic we're talking about right to to

unbelief to get them not to believe so my spouse simply what happened I believed them she was looking at the

Brokenness in our marriage and I think the enemy came in very powerfully and blinded her mind with hopelessness and I

think that's the number one attack if we can get hopelessness the enemy has us so does

that mean I think it's I think it's less of a free will it's more they're blinded that they can't see anything good so if you can't see anything good well they

make sense well since nothing's good I guess gonna get out better so I guess I should leave right must hope so that's

what I pray Lord open their eyes remove the blinders that the enemy is trying to do so they they can see the goodness

what could happen in our family I I wanted free will is important

for for me and my stand because here's here's how I worded it yeah I was like I didn't want Christine to be just Zapped

course I want what here's what I wanted because you know we got other people how do we pray how do we pray I'm like I God

I pray that you would reawaken a love for her for me and you would do something in my life and I'm like and if

we can think that I'm not now even threatened by opposition I'm like I want Christine to have let her have a million

choices let her have Prosperity you know let her I'm not there's a phrase people say I want to pray them into the pig pin

like the protocol I want them to go through trouble and struggles so then they'll wake up and I'm like no I want

Christiane to have all of these options you know is a kind of a joke I want her to have brde pit Matthew MCC all these

amazing amazing handsome men in front of her me right beside her and I want her to be so in love with me and choose us

she looks at every option she says I choose Jason that was my prayer God yeah heal

me do whatever you need to do in me heal her Lord us God this is your plan for our

marriage so that's where I so I know that's kind of a long answer to the question but that was approach of it

right and it sounds like so a couple of thoughts first of all what you're describing as far as remove the blinders

I think that that's the way I typically conceptualize praying for people who aren't Believers yet as well because

obviously they still have free will as well and we want them to see and we recognize that this is the best thing

going and if they just see it change everything that the the field is ripe

send laborers so that they can get the the message but but also humility of your prayer the fact that you were

saying change your change you and not just change her that I think maybe set

the stage in that situation um so what would you say like in this particular

case that's a fabulous story what about people who are being abused or who are

you know the the extremes where the other person is just not interested

there's like things don't shift what do you say to people who are in a situ tion like that okay well one for any abuse I

say give yourself distance absolutely pull away right um our book you know we

we have so in our book our 40-day stand book we we have a story of every um every day of of the of the journey 40

days we have a testimony of a marriage that was restored and one of the stories

there's abuse involved and we wanted to make sure we we we from our view in our ministry in that section we have the the

phone number for the national abuse hotline we like look if you're in this here's what you do here's a number call

text so we believe yes you we need to be safe you know we absolutely sure yeah we

even say it this way you can stand at a distance yeah you can stand for your marriage because what are we what are we

praying for let's zoom out we are praying for God to heal everything involved yes us I mean that is and we

could talk about that that was an absolute Journey God took me he he did not let me get away with blaming Christine for everything he didn't let

me do it yeah but we do pray God heal my spouse and if your spouse

is you know living out and and having abuse that's a major Brokenness in them

but guess what I believe with all my heart God wants to heal that he wants to so we can back away so that's why we say

we can stand at a distance and pray and and I don't know how long but I believe in the power of God and we kind of stand

in the in the lane um that yes there are impossible situations yes there there is

constant rejection understand that Christine told me for over a year and a half Jason

We're Never Getting Back Together move on I found someone else I mean it was the Taylor Swift song We're Never

Getting Back Together I'm like my life you know it was the anthem I was hearing

buan she even has this funny thing how she worded it this is her trueth this was absolutely truth she's Jason I you

need to give up hope we're never getting back God a he gave us every chance he's not going to heal it it's moved on um I

want you just to find someone who's good with our kids just not as pretty as me that's what she said just find a girl

who's great with her girls and a little homely just that's what I want for you you know that's hilarious she actually

said that oh but so we're talking that's truth she's like just find someone yeah don't I don't want to be as pretty as me

but that but so I heard that gosh was constantly rejected so for almost two

years um and the divorce course happened so the state of Texas said our our marriage was dead I mean so I'm like it

was at me so that's when so people who are in hearing that constant rejection I would say I'm so sorry but I know what

Jesus invited me into in that moment was Jesus he encountered me in a way that I never encountered him and this is after

me going through Seminary right he he simply said to me Jason I know what it's

like to be rejected yeah I know what it's like to the people you love with all of your being just almost hate you

yeah and I started encountering the Lord just like the Hebrews writer says that

we have a high priest who can sympathize with our weakness yeah amen and I could preach that topic and I you know you

know I never understood that to that moment when Jesus showed up he says I know exactly what it's like would you like to know how I dealt with that would

you like to know how I continue to see the people who were doing what to me and I'm like oh Lord take me on that journey

and he did that and so what I'll say to those who are in these difficult situations get yourself with safety

absolutely get let God heal you when you're being rejected and being told the most awful things and Christine

Christine had a boyfriend the day she came home and got we got remarried I mean it happened that miraculous we can tell you that gosh yeah she had a

boyfriend that very morning and then she came home um but so all of these things I just so I feel like the the message I

want to blow with the trumpet nothing is too broken for God Amen yes you think is

dead it might be dead and that's why I love to quote Romans 4:17 this is one of

the major verses I would tell someone to hang on to Romans 4:17 it's the story of Abraham at the end it says this of verse

17 he gives life to the dead and calls into existence what doesn't exist amen

so I'm like we don't have to deny I don't have to put my head in the sand and say oh Christine really loves me

guess what no she did not love me there was some real things going on

but I had to choose okay God but you still give life to dead things and you actually call into existence what don't

what doesn't exist and so I so yes there are some extreme situations but I'm just telling you I can tell you story after

Story of God healing this and I just want to raise that banner and saying

nothing is too far gone for God I love it I love it okay so tell us the end of

the story so she had a boyfriend the day that she came back day the very day well

so we were divorced um uh we were divorced Christine is embarrassed by it

but I love it well she's not here we were divorced for only two

months really two months we got almost two years we were divorced the divorce went through um nothing changed for me I

kept believing actually I mean so just I needed to protect my mind I needed to protect my heart to say God you you

still restore I so what I I kept going back to that well to keeping my eyes on

Jesus okay Jesus you still can heal this thing of course there's voices telling you it's over but I just say I got to

keep my eyes on you so Lord I need you to show me you to guide me yes and so the day that we got divorced um at the

church I actually threw a I threw a a worship service that evening and we called it worshiping The God Who

restores and some people some people knew some people didn't but I wasn't it wasn't just like a worshiping God

restores Jason marriage I was like what do you need to school for do you need finances do you need health do you need your career do you need your your

children let's just come together and we're going to just celebrate who God is this isn't even going to be a prayer

service we're not going to pray for restoration we're going to worship God this is your character this is who you

are so I scheduled that the night the day our divorce was finalized because I I just need for me I need I needed to

let the devil know devil forget you you still You're Gonna Lose God's still can restore so that's a mindset I had so I

kept I kept standing even after the divorce but couple months after the divorce um Christine needed her phone

worked on and um she came to the house to try to get her phone backed up she was going to go to the Apple Store or

whatever and that very afternoon uh we got into an argument in the in our

driveway U we were arguing and just like another argument I'm over here like Chris you know you can come home and

she's y y y talking about the other guy and so here's what happened um the Lord

a few days earlier the only way I can say it you know people might call it a word of knowledge but I just knew that

this guy was cheating on her I just knew with all of my being and I'm like then I'm like well what do I do with that I'm

like God I just can't tell her because I'm the ex-husband trying to get her back of course I'm gonna say she's

cheating on you you know but I I just like what do I do with this Lord I was praying that God will cover her heart

protect her and and we started arguing and she out of the blue said Jason what do you know

what you know something don't you and I'm like what she's said you know something I can tell you know something so she's kind of arguing at me that I

know something and I'm I'm resisting uh no well no I'm kind of not denying it but not really coming out and she was

like what do you know and then she said God showed you something didn't he God showed you something so I'm like so she knew I I hear from God you know even

though she hates me and divorced me you know that's apparently not that big of a deal but she's like what do you know and

I said H I said Chris he's cheating on you and she just dropped her head and

she walked into the kitchen this we were outside she walked into the kitchen and I was standing at the kitchen door and

here's what happened I said Chris he's gonna break your heart and when he does

and when I said when he does she was convinced what I was going to say she had to come in I'm gonna watch her I'm

gonna laugh that's what she was convinced was about what I was about to say what I said was Christine he's gonna

break your heart and when he does I'll be right here waiting for you and she

said just something just dropped oh man something broke gonna melt any woman's

heart I mean I don't know I mean I that's a pretty good line I gotta say a good line be a line but looking back now

I'm like pretty strong all right thank you Lord for that you know yes but we

walked so we walked into the living room and we had actually had a real conversation like something broke the anger the fear even the deception what

no what something broke and so we started having a conversation and she was then telling me Jason I was

convinced God told me to leave you I did not like how you were treating me I did not like this you were this you were

this I was convinced it was God who told me to divorce you and leave you isn't it I heard this the whole time and so then

we were able to have the conversation right then and I was able to to share with her a verse in a completely

different tone because let me tell you and all your listeners up to that point you know a good a good definitely the

good few first few months of our separation I'm sending her every Bible verse about divorces against God's will

I'm telling her she's destroying God's family I'm giving her sermons you know I'm doing it all trying I'm trying to

play Holy Spirit Jr to convict my wife right does not work people don't do it

nope so but that moment I was we were in the couch and we had this moment and I just said you know Chris I'm not shocked

I said I bet you maybe probably absolutely heard something I said you know there is a verse in the Bible that

says even if an angel of life even if an angel appears to you with a different

with a message different than the gospel he'll be eternal damn I'm like is it

possible that maybe there was an angel of Light dressed in like it was it was just the the

enemy absolutely speaking and counterfeiting the voice of God could is that possible and she right then here's

where Christine was so amazing she simply said these words you know what I don't think

so but I guess it's possible and it's here's what's so beautiful about our God as soon as

Christine said the words it's possible she said instantly Like A Rush of light

came in and the door swung open and she saw it she's like oh my gosh I was deceived she just the veil was lifted in

a miraculous moment all the Lord needed for her was just to have the one ounce

of just crack of if you want to call it openness humility just I well maybe

because why what's what what is the actual definition of deception deception is you actually believe what you're

hearing is right it would it wouldn't be deception if you didn't truly think it so in the middle of that she was like

well I I guess it's possible and I'm like that's all God needed so boom she

she came in wow and then she said well can I come home to be with the girls because I actually had the girls with me

yeah and I was like yeah absolutely so she you know she said I'm gonna just come home be with the girls and I'm like

yes you know we'll be in different rooms whatever you need and so that was a Sunday so she said yep we came home

we walked into my bedroom where the girls were watching TV or whatever and we said mom's coming home moving back

home and they're jumping on the bed and and just oh this restoration just happened and then by that night as a

family we all went to like a hotel just to go to a nice hotel with some swimming for the kids just to break up our

monotony and that night guess what me and Christine are kind of making out in the sauna and I'm like

oh you know and then so that's Sunday and then Monday day not to get two but

Monday Christine goes you think your dad can watch the girls and can you and I go to the hotel room and so that night we

were talking and I said well what are we doing are we gonna get remarried and she was like yeah so that night Monday night

we decided to get remarried we say well where are we're going to get remarried and we had all these Pastor friends of mine in wakeo where I'm at in Texas and

none of it felt right and then we just simply just somehow I don't know who said me or Christine said what if we

just go to Vegas to get remarried we said Vegas Lauren we felt the

presence of the Holy Spirit fill the room and we were like yes

listen so then that's that's Monday night we decide to get married in Vegas then Tuesday we already have the airfare

book we have every we have the where we're staying the book we had it all booked on Tuesday and we're so we're flying Thursday so we were flying

Thursday night to go get married in Vegas but then something felt off and I'm like what is wrong now something's

off again I'm like oh no did we make a mistake and then make a long story short it was just with her parents that we

ended up calling her parents and inviting them and her dad's a missionary and so we flew them out and he did the

uh wedding service you know the Nevada Minister did it but he kind of you know was there doing it and so we got

remarried Under The Fabulous Las Vegas sign on the strip with marrying us and we had just

it was just an Amazing Story and God did a Reconciliation between me and her parents in that moment because you know

i't talking to them in almost two years so I'm like Enemy Number One right they they think I'm gonna they think I'm an abuser they think I'm an emotional

abuser I mean it's just so there's a lot of Brokenness there and so that morning that Wednesday morning here's a funny

story if we have time yeah Wednesday morning so we so here she came home

Sunday night Monday night we decided to get married uh I think Wednesday we were like where are we going to get married

at Wednesday morning she calls she facetimes her mom and her dad to invite

them tomorrow we want to fly to Vegas that was the call she she called them

and she said hey guys um couple things um this is exactly how it went I'm off

the side they don't they don't even know I'm on the phone call because it's a FaceTime between her and the you know I'm off to the side and she's like um so

I moved back come with Jason I I'm back with Jason now and just wanted to let

you you guys know that and then right then her mom jumps in and then her mom starts saying this oh Christine just don't rush anything just

Christine no what's the reason we're calling them because tomorrow we gonna

get married and we want to fly them out I'm like so it's the opposite of what her mom is telling her to do y and so um

we tell them what she's telling them what we' like to do her mom is shaking her head sideways no her dad is shaking

his head up and down yes just grinning ear to ear mom saying no Dad saying yes

and her dad looks at her mom the greatest line says her name was Sandy said Sandy what do you want them to wait for

you want them to get to know each other better like I know right what are they waiting for they got two kids have been married 15 years like what are we doing

so anyway making long story short they came on board they said yes and so we flew them out it worked out be beautiful

we flew them back to Waco after so Christian came home on a Sunday we got remarried in Vegas few days later we

flew out Thursday night we got remarried Friday we flew back to Texas Saturday because I had to preach on Sunday and

that oh my gosh that was our week and Chris her parents came to spend you know

a week or so with us with the grandkids and me and her mom we got to have a real conversation and really got to talk

about the year and a half of Separation what was going on and and you know she even said thank you for loving my

daughter through this all I mean it was God just did a miracle that one week

before there was absolutely nothing in the natural that Ur So if you are

listening and you are believing for a miracle you have a promise in your heart and that's many all you got I'm here

that this is how God moves amen and CAD is no respector of persons what he does

for one he will do for you as well absolutely that's great so what would

you say to somebody who I assume there's been people like this in the ministry who've been trying to believe for the

marriage but they just feel so heart sick because are not shifting so is there ever a point at which you would

say for your own piece of Mind step away or take a break or maybe Let It Go like

what would you under what circumstances would you give that advice yeah I would say yeah well no I would say this one in

our ministry what we kind of teach here when I went through my whole journey God was kind of show me how do I how do I do this how does he want me to do this and

uh we kind of have what we call Four of standing supernaturally one is we stand with the Divine perspective which means

I'm standing at God I need your perspective not mine not hers not his I what how do you see this God and that

can be hard to see it but we can get there two is how do we stand successfully in the storm of opposition

we know it's stormy we know the enemy's coming at things the enemy there is a stormy season there is opposition how do

we stand with hope still and joy even in the middle of that another one is how do we stand with Supernatural resources

understanding the Bible gives us all of these amazing we are called his ambassadors he has given us the power of

prayer the power of all these things so we have biblical promises and and power tools from the word of God that we can

fight the enemy our weapons are not of this world but they have divine power to demolish strongholds so we can have that

and then why am I saying on that then the fourth one and this is the key this was called standing with the healed

heart oh my gosh do if we're in this we have got through realize the pain and

the Brokenness that we're in and don't discount that yes the and get to

encounter the God who you know who who runs to the broken heart to encounter

The God Who says I will I bless those who mourn and so we actually begin to allow

the Lord to do a healing work in our heart take our tears before him I I

cried myself to sleep many times and I just felt the presence of God come into our my bedroom and just hold me as I

slept and allowed him to remove my fear my anger my confusion god what the heck

is happening and I'm crying out to the Lord and so too many times when we're in

pain even in the Christian Community we just let it linger instead of actually

having an encounter with God and say Jesus I'm hurt will you my heart will

you will you hold me will you simply hold me that's what we have verses it says for us to mourn with those who

mourn why because there's healing in that yeah and I don't believe that's only just for you know us here on planet

Earth to mourn with those who mourn allow the Lord to come and mourn with us and we then we actually grieve grieve is

an absolute necessity I you know probably so much more with what you do of just the power

of the that God will heal that and for me that was a struggle I here's why and maybe someone maybe doesn't have this

problem but I know I sure did and I had a problem grieving the death and the

loss of my marriage because I didn't want to believe it was dead or lost yes

and that is I didn't want to grab so for me my my warped to mind was well I don't

want to grieve because that means I don't have faith that seems faithless yes yes yes and so I I was wrestling

with that until God completely healed me and delivered me because he and then he how he did it was gave me this amazing story and I'm like I never saw it this

way and he gave me the story of Jesus and Lazarus the smallest verse in the

Bible two words Jesus wept well that is in the story of

finding out Lazarus died and I was like well Jesus why' You Weep did you not

know you were about to go resurrect him Jesus did you not have faith in yourself

that you didn't have the power and he just revealed to me said no because don't forget I was fully God but also Al

fully man and I actually needed to show the world and I actually needed in my human suit lack of a better word I

needed to grieve the loss of my friend and we were designed and built

when when hurt and and negative things come weeping is a part of our Human

Experience right right Jesus just said weeping did not mean I didn't have faith

it didn't mean I didn't know I was going to do it so that that that Revelation that I just never thought of before

freed me to say oh I can weep and still believe right I can weep and grieve all

my marriage oh my gosh what she's doing what what what what I did I mean everything I can weep before the Lord

grief and God will come and heal my grief and I at the same time I'm never letting go of faith and that really did

a lot of healing for me so I could get healed so I would say absolutely let the

Lord Heal you and if that means and I need to take a pause here um even with my my prayers my my boring

in the spirit for my my spouse there's a time God say I need you I need you to pause because even in

Warfare people AR on the front lines the whole time right they say he I need you I need you go inside I need you to go

get some grub I need you to re I need you know I need you to relax I need you know watch watch a show and just yeah

heal us and so many times we don't and then we might get burnt out when God's like no it's not over but right now

you're you're you're killing your body let me heal you let me do some inner

work and then trust me yeah trust me I I'll revive this and if God is leading

us away to something new I there are some biblical grounds I understand I

don't think it's means just because you have biblical grounds doesn't mean God won't heal it so I'm not here saying

that God doesn't do something new I'm not saying that at all I'm not bringing any shame condemnation for someone who's been remarried no not saying any of that

what I'm saying is that I want us to make that decision and I want us to be led in a place of

healing not in a place of I I don't want us to be led of hopelessness I don't want us to be led by anger or bitterness

or even Brokenness I'm believe God heal my broken place and then now stand me

back up right but I am going to ask again Lord I believe I'm standing up why

because 2 Corinthians 5:18 says I have the ministry of reconciliation M now that I'm Healed a

little bit better now that I'm oh now I can really walk in the gift of Ministry of reconciliation even greater when when

I think maybe we in the church we have been so quick I think I think we do

those those two those steps of okay let God heal you but then as soon as we get healed say okay now let's see who God

has for you new now that you're healed let's see what's different now that you heal how about you know let's use

Divorce Care which I'm not knocking but I'm saying but we go them here instead of saying saying okay now that you're healed right let's God wants to

re-engage this miracle that makes sense so I'm I'm trying to raise another flag and saying take the steps but we still

might have a completely different endgame here right yeah yeah no absolutely I love that perspective of

the dichotomy between whether God wants you to fight like there's there's it's like there's when you're trying to stand

for something Supernatural it's always you're either fighting or you're resting in Jesus that something's been done and how do you know which it is and it's

just the holy spirit that has to lead you to say this is this is your calling right now yeah but if somebody is really

in that place of Brokenness standing up and fighting might actually be detrimental absolutely so he's he's

gonna have to give you that information I love it that's great yeah it's so true I mean you said it B someone's we have a

broken leg We're not gonna send them to the front line right absolutely but yet somehow in our in our in our weird kind

of Christian faith Warfare hey Gods can do Miracle we kind of run out there we have a lot of unhealthy people people

trying to make spiritual decisions when God's like wait a second I love you I got a plan for you but we need to do

some healing right now and let me heal and here's and here here's what's even greater about that moment of when he

heals us and tells us to rest because it's when we're resting guess what revelation we truly understand and

that's the Revelation that God he is fighting for you yes I love it sometimes we don't ever know that until we

actually just are still look at all the verses be still you know and know that I'm God okay I will go for you and like

I will fight this battle all you have to do is be still and there's times that God's like just I need you to be still I

need you to be healed yes for you but also you're about to see my power move

because you know for some of us he's like you need to get your grubby little hands off of it and let me do what I do

you're kind of making it worse Jason let me do some stuff so there's

multiple for that but you're absolutely right just to be that's great and your book is full of other stories too of

Supernatural marriage restoration right can you tell us like maybe one or two others yeah so here's here's yeah we did

I wanted when we wrote the book and we actually had the book pry much done and and you know the whole goal was I want

it to be you know it's a 40-day devotion a 40-day journey and I just my prayers is that someone would just read it and

they would just feel the supernatural infusion of hope I just want I want okay here's who our God is here's all the

scriptures here's why it can't happen here's what God is doing here's the lies that the Devil's trying to tell you

every day we're like reject these lies here are some declarations to pray declare these things but then at the end of every day we added a testimony of

another marriage that was restored what does the scripture say as well he says you know if we're gonna how

do we overcome them with the Enemy by the blood of the lamb and the word of the testimony yep I'm like so we we the

world has plenty of stories of when marriages don't get restored that is easy to find yeah let's now put back in

the mainstream no no no God is doing this God is restoring so yeah we added one for every day so here here's a

here's one that you would think is impossible yeah um you have we have a man here who him and his wife got

divorced he then got remarried she left him so then he got

remarried again so now he's on his third marriage oh yeah yeah she left him again

and then that woman left him so now he's now had three failed

marriages and now after the second his third wife left him his original wife they were always

there because they had kids you know she was connected and so even in when when she get when he got remarried secondly

you know this the second marriage was like chaotic I mean so there was like total friction between the second wife

and then the you know the original wife and it just was very unhealthy so when that marriage ended you know the third

wife he actually was was a really good healthy he was like wow this says she was actually happy for him and he was

like well okay something here ended guess what God did a miracle and then

they got remarried again oh so the original I mean so you're like well what a second he got remarried two times

surely it must be over well right you would think right but God's in his

beautiful plan of restoration and he took this Brokenness and this other Brokenness other Brokenness and then now

God has redeemed something so powerfully you're like how did that even happen well this is the god that we have

nothing is impossible another quick story I'm thinking of is I remember getting a phone call we have a we have

like a course we call it the academy like a 12we course we take people through kind of training people up on this and I never forget I remember

getting a message a messenger um he said Jason um I haven't talked to my wife in a year haven't talked to they've been

divorced hasn't talked to her they've been divorced haven't talked in a year he's in Jason I just found out she's pregnant with another man's

baby surely now I should stop my St right and I said well let's pray I can

tell you God does some crazy things he prayed he then reached out to her to Simply say hey

congratulations he actually had a restraining order put against him back in the day I mean but he's he was a

policeman so it wasn't even like it it was a crazy story sure and he reached

out says congratulations and she was like what thing led to another then to

another n to another they got remarried just kind he is now prising her and now

they have a baby of their own oh I mean oh I mean one the power and the

love of God to be able to restore something so broken and two the faith that God gave and this

this man walked out on just kept walking in with the me what could be could you

imagine a greater hurt than your spouse now having a baby with another child

I mean surely this has to be over surely I'm never supposed to be with that person

again sure he just started loving and he just started being kind and he just started being there and he just was had

that door open and he allowed God to heal the fear and God gave him a love for this child and God you know we have

that movie the TV show that was out you know 10 years ago Modern Family right you know all the different looks oh my

gosh can God heal and create the most beautiful Spirit-filled Modern Family of restoration that's that's who he is

absolutely so what would you say is like the biggest piece of advice what helped you most on your journey for somebody

who's trying to stand for their marriage what one major piece of advice would you

have encounter the god of Hope yes hopelessness is the number one reason

that this won't happen hopelessness is the number one reason marriages fall apart why because the spouse just they just lost hope in

you they lost hope in the marriage they lost hope in the person they lost hope you can change they lost hope they could change so they said well since this

marriage is hopeless let me find something new let me so that is the that's the catalyst so that thing is

going to come after you as well you're gonna see Brokenness you're G to see it the devil's going to put all the

Brokenness all the sin all everything that that you don't want to see the devil's going to put it on a high

defition billboard right on your front yard and you're going to see it every single day and that's why we have to set

our minds on things above not on things of the earth Colossians 3:2 and so we need to say God I need hope yeah I need

hope that you still did this so I would say lean into hope yes God gave me that word here's what's so beautiful about

God's sovereignty his his beautiful picture the you know she Christi left on the Mother's Day on a Sunday well Friday

we had a c a marriage counseling session that went awful it just went bad I had

no idea what was going to come Sunday but it was like oh my gosh this is crazy what's happening with my family

I'll never forget I was driving on this back road with another pastor friend of mine and I was driving and I heard the Lord speak to me Lauren so clearly I

heard the Lord say to me Jason you don't have enough hope for this next season of

your life wow you have to have more hope I heard it and I turned to my friend

David David the Lord just told me I don't have enough hope but I have to have more hope for this next

season okay Lord I so I said okay okay Lord Lord I can Lord I need your hope

he told me that Friday little did I know that that next season would begin in two short days that the Sunday the world

would fall apart and that all he was bringing me into was to have hope in him and he started showing me scriptures you

know he started revealing all the things be joyful in Hope patient in Affliction faithful in prayer Romans 12:12 Psalms

253 says no one who hopes in you will ever be put to shame Psalm 71:14 was was

so pivotal for me I love it it says this ask for me as a comma I will always have

hope I will praise you more and more and the Lord was just inviting me he says in Romans 1513 May the god of Hope fill you

with joy and peace as you trust in him so that you can overflow with hope by the power of the holy spirit so the Lord

was just inviting me into this absolute water hose of hope he's like you need to

have hope because I am the god of Hope amen yes no one who hopes in me will ever be with to shame and that final

that qu a while ago 7114 ask for me I will always have hope and he was just inviting me he's Jason you're going to

have every opportunity to look at this thing that fell look at this thing that broke look at this thing that didn't work and you're going to have every

chance to see why this won't work and I need you to Simply say Psalm 71:14 when

I want you to Simply say you know what ask for me without any disrespect I don't care

what's going on around me I don't care what happened here I don't care what happened here I don't care what did happen there but as for me I'm putting

my steak in the ground I will always have hope that's right I will praise you more and more and just in Lamentations

the Lord is good to those whose hope is in him and he just took me on this journey so I would say anyone who is

like how do I do this oh I want you to pray a steple prayer may I encounter the

god of Hope get in the word just Google hope verses I mean just just get in the

word and say God fill me with hope right because that'll change everything because that that that that's what what

our faith is built on right I mean what's the definition do we need Faith absolutely faith is what moves mountains

yes we prophesy according to our faith so faith is super important but the

definition of faith is it's the evidence of things hoped for yeah hope is the

foundation yeah if the enemy can still our hope he's he doesn't care about our faith the faith is g to crumble so I

would just say that one thing h and if we're having hopelessness we just say

God I I I'm losing my hope God will you fill me with hope you you are the god of Hope fill me with hope

yeah in your journey of trying to get hope back yeah did God ever give you a

picture or a vision or anything like anything in your imagination that you could focus on instead of what you

saw um yes but I would say but it was the

word of God for me I I just I just I just focused on God who are you what does your word say yeah what where's do

you not have the power to do this well Luke 137 for Nothing is Impossible with god well okay I guess maybe you do all

right job 910 is another verse I love to quote job 9:10 people say I don't want to read job forget job right no read job

19 because what it says he performs Wonders that we cannot fathom miracles

we can't even count yep so I just said okay I'm GNA focus on God you are a God who can perform Wonders that I can't

fathom which is important because guess what I'm trying to Fathom what's going on lean not on my own understanding so I'm like okay I gotta surrender some

stuff here yeah and so I started I started having this picture and vision of God of of who the reality of God is I

started seeing him in the scripture so beautifully and then I was like Lord I just I need you to speak to my heart and

he was giving me these small Whispers that I'm with you he told me one day when I was complaining that God God why

haven't you brought Christine home I'm just complaining and crying out to him he's told me this I heard it so clearly

I was tying in my journal and these words just flew from my fingers all he said Jason bringing Christine home is

easy I finally have you in a place that I've been waiting for and I'm not gonna waste this

opportunity and I was like yes okay Lord start with me the second day of the of our book day number one is nothing is

impossible I want everyone to know nothing's impossible that's day of the book day two this start with me yes

start with me start with me but so he started showing me wait a second no you are saying bringing her home is easy you

are saying this is your plan um I saw this I any picture I had I did have a

vision one time um it was a crazy Vision I don't have a lot of Visions but I saw this in my mind I saw this construction

zone it was like a big old under construction zone and there were all these so so weird Lauren you're going to

think I'm crazy I saw all these angels in this vision and the Angels were wearing hard hats and I'm like these

angels are wearing hard hats I'm like what the heck is going on here and I started seeing all of these different

parts of a construction site and the Lord was just and he was just saying

Jason your family isn't finished it's just under construction I love it and I

was like okay but then the rest of he kind of show me okay but I need you to know construction sites are kind of

dangerous so I need you to I need just took me on this journey I need you to I need you to be aware be aware of how you

walk don't step on any nails guess what I need you to have the resources okay if you want me to build up the drywall

guess what you got to make sure you bring the drywall okay hey if if you don't handle the rain very well if it's a stormy season construction sites gets

shut down and so the Lord use that vision and illustration to show me here's all of these things that the enemy wants he wants it to

delay and the Lord's like hey I need you to follow me I need you to trust me hey if you don't have your heart hat if an

injury occurs right what's the construction s maybe you've seen these signs it's been 42 days since an injury

has happened on this job site right why because if an injury happens it gets shut down and the Lord was just lovingly

saying hey I need to walk you through this yeah it's under construction um but

here's some wisdom of here I walk it so I started getting whispers about that and um just God just he was gonna do

this yeah and they were small and they were they were they were The Whispers yeah why am I mentioning Whispers

because there was a megaphone on the other friend sure know it was just in my

face no but I'm like okay Lord I hear your whisper so yeah yeah I love it what have

I not asked you that you want to make sure you leave with our audience I I

have I think you've already asked it but I'll okay nothing is

impossible the enemy wants you to look at your spouse oh no let me let me let

me add this how how do we how do we do it how do I how do I have a healed heart in a way that I can stand for the

journey yep it's a simple thing to say could be

a journey to get there but oh will the Lord get you there and that's this ask Jesus to give you his vision

for your spouse Amen Let me see my spouse Through Your Eyes Lord even in

the middle of the Brokenness Lord show me what you're doing in their life good show me the destiny you have on them

show me the prophetic plan you have for them God show me what you're show me

your love God how much do you love them for God I want to love the way you love if we can stop looking at it through our

own lens and through the reality of the Brokenness and the hurt and the Betrayal

if we can get above that and say God let me see my spouse Through Your

Eyes guess what everything else gets easier forgiveness becomes e easier yeah endurance becomes easier longsuffering

becomes easier all of those things that we need they actually become easier if I can begin to Define my spouse through

the lens of Jesus action because guess what there's a good chance that in these moments of

Separation that your spouse might be making decisions that might be maybe their worst decisions they've ever made

this might be some of their lowest points of their life it's a good chance that might be reality so then we have to

fight really hard I'm not going to Define them by their worst moment I'm going to Define them how God sees them

and now I am protected and I believe I'm actually standing now in the Heavenly realm fighting and God is with us and I

believe it changes everything so that's what I would say really be be mindful of how you are viewing the person who's

maybe bringing a lot of torment and Trauma in your life right yeah I love it where can people go to learn more about
