INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup GF flour blend*
  • 2 tsp GF baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tbsp coconut palm sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 1/2 tbsp butter – softened
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a large bowl, place the GF flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar and salt and blend well
  2. Cut in the butter until well blended
  3. Add buttermilk and mix well.
  4. Knead and shape into 2 biscuits.   Set oven to 425 degrees and allow the biscuits to sit while oven heats.
  5. Bake until brown.

*Gluten Free Flour Blend (can be used in place of regular flour for any recipe!)

  • 24 oz bag Brown rice flour bag
  • 24 oz bag white rice flour
  • 24 oz bag  sweet white rice flour
  • 20 oz tapioca flour ( tapioca starch)
  • 2 1/2 tbsp xanthan gum
